Set cluster bombs for 2-3 seconds and fire them over the target. Use the bazooka to take chunks out of the enemy fort early on. You can customize which fort and extra you get. They don't repel dynamite, homing missiles, phone batteries, worm stinger/lick, banana bomb, or any bullets.įort mode. Magnets can repel bunker busters, mines, bazooka, grenades, air strike, W1 rockets, etc. If you're directly underneath something solid like a mounted gun it will block bunker busters. If you are near death, protect your last worm by digging into a hillside. Your opponent will get fewer turns with the remaining healthy worms while you hunt them down. Sometimes it's better to leave enemy worms at 5hp rather than finish them off. You could even craft another worm select to finish the job. If you really want to clear a building, consider putting your first 2 worms in it and use worm select to repeat their turns immediately. Try not to put more than two worms in a building, it can backfire easily. It's often better to parachute or hike to a vehicle or mounted gun. If you put worm #4 by a tank it will probably be dead before its turn arrives. I generally put my first two worms in aggressive, strategically valuable spots but play it safer with the others. Don't craft stuff you don't have a plan for, save the ingredients until later in the game. You still need to plan a retreat if you attack with a vehicle, especially near water.ĭon't use special items early in the game unless necessary. The main purpose of retreating after your shot is to wedge your worm in somewhere it can't be easily dislodged from. Once you fire, immediately begin your retreat. Remember which order your worms are in, and plan ahead during your opponents turn. You might even put your own severely injured worm in the hole to add more damage to your opponent. ![]() #WORMS REVOLUTION MAX PLAYERS SERIES#If you put enough worms and stuff in a hole together, it can cause a cascading series of explosions. Park damaged vehicles on enemy worms so they explode when shot. Look for ways to add damage, like shooting them towards a sentry gun, near another worm, or onto mines and barrels. Explosions remove terrain before they launch the worms, so you can sometimes launch worms through small barriers like building walls. The fire punch and bat are great for this, or a precisely placed mine. Whenever possible, go for a kill by launching enemy worms into the water. You can land on a single pixel of terrain as long as you don't have too much forward momentum. If you're bouncing back when you jump, do a high jump (double tap) and add a direction once the worm has peaked. Practice crossing rugged terrain quickly, and flipping up and over obstacles with the ninja rope. You can also edit the scheme and add crafted weapons to your inventory. Craft all the specialty items and try them out. Play as both teams in multiplayer, and practice with all the weapons, tools and vehicles. Most weapons have the same firing characteristics. General strategy/tips: Before you jump into ranked games, complete all the training missions and practice the bazooka level until you get gold. I wrote this while waiting for matches, so it's a bit scattered. It's a silly game, but really well executed with lots of variety in weapons, vehicles, and gameplay settings.
